Another AirBnB Case. In Rehner v. City of Scranton, decided on December 8, 2017, the Commonwealth Court decided that rental of three rooms in a house in a residential zoning district using the AirBnB rental system was not a prohibited Bed & Breakfast use. The owner, who resided in the house, did not provide any meals but allowed guests to use her kitchen. Guest stays were limited to four days. The court concluded that without providing breakfast the common meaning of the term Bed & Breakfast did not clearly encompass this use.
