The law on the rights of workers is a vast, growing, and dynamic field, which includes everything from insurance issues, such as the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, to subrogation matters, Employee Retirement Income Security Act concerns, and at-will employment issues. This book is merely to cover some of the most commonly reported problems.

Education in Pennsylvania is governed by a complicated network of federal and state laws and regulations. Special education laws are particularly intricate. About 17.5% of Pennsylvania students receive special education services under Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (“IDEA”). Additional students received services under other, related federal statutes. Because a significant population of Pennsylvania students requires special education services, a compilation of the applicable laws and regulations seems not merely helpful, but necessary.

This book with PDF download assembles the relevant federal and Commonwealth statutes and accompanying regulations that control special education. A sample Individualized Educational Program (“IEP”) Form is also included, as well as links to other useful documents from the Bureau of Special Education. This resource will be useful to school solicitors and other education attorneys, as well as school administrators and special education directors. It’s also likely to assist school board directors.
